Students Welfare Committee has been formed with the sole intention to act as an interface between the Management and Students. The Committee administers and makes decisions concerning Student Welfare, taking up issues reported by students and resolves them by bringing it to the notice of the Director. The Committee meets on a monthly basis to discuss the problems and probable ways of improvement in the standards with respect to facilities and the like. If required, the committee also ensures smooth functioning of clubs or other academic activities within the college.

In Royal Institute of Management and Advanced Studies, student welfare committee works on some basic functions for the welfare of a student which includes the following:

  • First and foremost to develop the student-teacher relationship bond

  • Listening to their problems and understanding what is required for their development in any manner.

  • Assisting the students in their learning process

  • This includes not just academics but also the practical learning experience.

  • Addressing and solving their various issues

  • Addressing the feedbacks of students regarding different areas of curriculum and resolving the issues with no or little efforts from the students.

  • Flourishing relationship with parents and organizing meetings for them

  • Addressing the issues from guardians and resolving them to whatever the needs are.

  • Organizing special coaching for slow learners

  • Not every child understands in the same manner, the committee therefore ensures that those who could not understand the topics shall be taught in a friendlier manner, separately.

  • Conducting periodic meetings to talk over student welfare. By organizing activities and facilitating student interests

  • Organizes co-curricular activities for personality development.

  • Managing the needs for extracurricular activities

  • It looks after activities like music, sports, etc. for students.

 

Functions of the cell:

 

  • The cell regularly has to conduct remedial coaching classes on life skills, personality development, writing assignments and making presentations.

  • To organize interactive sessions and informal meetings with students to attend to their personal, social and academic problems.

  • Guide the SC/ST/OBC/PWD students of the College, to optimally utilize the benefits of the schemes offered by the State Governments and Government of India (GOI).

  • To attend the cases promptly on receipt of written grievances from the students.

  • To formally review all the cases and act accordingly as per the management policy.

  • The cell will abide by the  SC and ST (Prevention of atrocities) Act, 1989
